Welcome

The Irish Orchid Society was founded to help make orchids part of mainstream horticulture. Orchids are for everyone!

We want to dispel the myth that they are difficult plants. Some are but many are not.

We also want to educate in aspects of their science, evolution and conservation.

New to Orchids?

Orchid growing can be the horticultural “school of hard knocks” and that is why discussion with experienced growers in an orchid society is the most effective path to success. Why not attend one of our regular meetings by checking the Calendar of Events.

Enjoy and we hope to meet you some day!
