DESCRIPTION:Guatemalan Ecologist Challen Willemsen will take you on a botanical and geographical journey from the jungles of Mexico\, through Central America to the mountains of Peru describing the orchids of each region and their habitat. \nAbout Challen Willemsen \nA Guatemalan ecologist passionate about botany\, particularly neotropical orchids and epiphytes in general. A member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission - Orchid Specialist Group. He volunteers regularly at El Tular Nature Reserve outside Guatemala City. In May 2023 he was awarded a Conservation Grant by the American Orchid Society to deepen the scope of his work at the reserve. \nThis event is part of the IOS Spring Show and Exhibition
