    Phalaenopsis hyerogliphica

I was so excited to get this plant, and though it did came with one (still green) flowerspike, it is currently flowering from two new flower spikes…

It is native to certain islands of The Philippines, considered vulnerable to extinction and is protected since 1975…

Not much known about its natural habitat and pollinators. It is found at elevations bellow 500 meters, of it’s genus this species grows in the coolest and deeply shady locations of humid forests.

    Correction to Phal hyerogliphica:

It is flowering from 3 spikes with 4 flowers 🙂

One very short spike was hiding under a leaf…

I love these, especially the dappled ones. They look so delicate and unusual. You are truly a wizard with orchids, Eszter!
