We are delighted to be offering online raffles to our wonderful members! These raffles will be in addition to the in-person raffles held at the meetings. You can buy as many tickets as you want and there are three options.

Payment for tickets

Payment for the tickets is by credit or debit card via our PayPal account. When you reach the payment stage, short cut the PayPal system by clicking on the black Debit or Credit Card button (see image) if you are going to pay that way. 

Only use the PayPal button if you have a PayPal account and want to use the balance in that account to settle.

Spring Orchid Raffle

We have seven unusual and colourful orchids as prizes for this month’s raffle. These are compact growing and perfect for growing indoors. Two of them can be successfully grown outside in a humid sheltered and shaded location from late spring to early autumn.

Cochlioda noezliana

A cold to cool growing member of the oncidium alliance and used extensively in hybridising for its wonder vibrant red. Grow in chunky bark substrate.

Masdevallia amabilis

Another cool growing species from high in the Peruvian mountains. A plant that will love a sheltered shaded location outside in the late spring to early autumn.

Chysis aurea

This one requires intermediate conditions and humidity, it will reward with hanging sprays of long-lived, scented, golden flowers. Perfect for an east facing window in a bathroom.

Oerstedella centradenia

Clusters of lavender-pink flowers bloom on this attractive, cane-growing type orchid. A compact grower that can kept in a small pot even as a larger specimen, making it an excellent plant for indoor collections!

Epidendrum 'Thomas Ott'

A primary hybrid (a cross between two species) between Epi. pseudepidendrum x Epi. melanoporphyreum. It has reddish tinged foliage. The inflorescence have dark wine red sepals and petals fading to lime green, the lip is yellow edged with pink.

Ludisia discolor 'Ruby'

This Jewel orchid is tinged dark red with abundant spikes of bright white flowers held high above the plant. Jewel orchids are terrestrial and make excellent house plants.

Phalaenopsis 'Morning Breeze'

A mini-sized Phal with pretty speckled flowers and a real bonus, this one is scented! It is currently in full flower on three spikes, so if Phals are your thing, this one is a must.
